During the Thaksin government
all this was brought down to
practically a still stand at 1 am,
no more Phuket travel entertainment.
What this people around Thaksin and
others didn’t understand is, the
tourists and traveler are not coming
from the Thai time zone.
When tourists travel to Thailand and
Phuket, they usually are at
least for the first few days still
adjusted to a time gap of 5 – 6 hours less. That
means to stop at 1 am Thai time,
actually means for the foreign
tourist's body to stop in
the early evening
and who wants to do
that? With people
coming from the US
the time change is even worst.
The problem with this is, the
people who makes the rules in
Bangkok don’t understand this
quite important things on Phuket and
Thailand travel. The same government
people at the same time also command that all petrol stations
in Thailand have to close at least
after 10 pm, the exception is on the
main through routes such as Motorway
from Bangkok to the Malaysian
border.
What
they don’t care is that there are
other people who for some reason
do their Bangkok Phuket travel or
elsewhere in the night lets say mainly to
avoid the usual gigantic Thailand
traffic during daytime.
Luckily after Thaksin was forced to
leave all came back to normal,
now no more problems with petrol on
a travel trip in Thailand. But the
problem with the nightlife hours is
still on.

traveler or tourist could be somehow
like in paradise.

on 330 sqkm piece of
land about 900 km south of
Bangkok and it takes
about 12 hours by bus and
about 1 hour by airplane to
reach.
Since the road from
Bangkok to Phuket is
about 80% a four lane
highway in quite good
conditions it be a good idea
to use a car to see the real
Thailand on your Phuket
vacation trip.
On the other hand it
might be end up as a
adventure travel trip
since there is hardly a
other country in this world
with more road accidents
than Thailand.

most of the people don't
care about traffic rules and
by far the worst are the
people with the small
motorbikes called "motocyc"
in Thaiglish. |
